Oh, what a beautiful morning!!
Whoohoo
A few hiccups, being incredibly strong women and a couple of blokes we managed to get the boat in the water. Thanks to our wonderful sweep Sue, and Pearl who did a brilliant job on her first day as a trainee coach.
We all got in the boat zig-zag with 10 paddlers and with a spare, away we went. Hallelujah It was a beautiful sunny autumn morning, we paddled for a half hour before we had a change over with Lorraine and Gary.
There was lots of chatter and laughter seeing everyone again in the boat, some baby news, Lorraine she became grandmother to a new grandson last Monday, Congratulations Lorraine.
We noticed a few changes in Blackwattle Bay, The Boatshed Restaurant is empty, the cement works are gone and the Marina under the bridge has been extended.
After a clean of the boat and equipment we headed up to Studio 4 for brekkie and another chat, and few more laughs.
I am sure next Saturday will go more smoothly as we figure out the best way to get warmed up and onto the water.
A big thank you goes out to Sue for and organising us all, and to our COVID safety team, ably led, by Carmel our COVID safety officer, for sorting out the logistics and requirements to enable us to paddle safely.
Paddles up for next Saturday
